The Ramkhamhaeng University Center of Regional Climate Change and Renewable Energy (RU-CORE) is a newly established research center under the collaboration of Ramkhamhaeng Univesity (RU) and Thailand Research Fund (TRF). It aims to be an excellent center in research, application and capacity building in regional climate change and renewable energy related issues. RU-CORE also serves as a regional hub for regional climate change data for Thailand and the Southeast Asia region as well as promoting data services, inter-disciplinary research, training and capacity building through collaborations with researchers from the Southeast Asia and other regions. RU-CORE receives funding from both national and international funding agencies including APN and National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
The Southeast Asia Regional Climate Downscaling (SEACLID)/CORDEX Southeast Asia ESGF node, which is graciously hosted by RU-CORE, is a product of the SEACLID/CORDEX Southeast Asia. The data available at this node was compiled from the multi-GCMs and multi-RCMs simulation outputs carried out under this project. The SEACLID project was initially established in 2013 and funded by the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN). However, the project was later streamlined into CORDEX and became the 14th domain of CORDEX in which it was subsequently renamed as the SEACLID/CORDEX Southeast Asia (www.ukm.edu.my/seaclid-cordex).
